Hiatus

Dear readers of Credidimus Caritati,

I sincerely apologise for the lack of updates since the last post almost 9 months ago. I have been rather caught up with my duties and am currently away from home.

As I am no longer responsible in the bulletin of the St Pius Priory in Singapore, I regret to announce that this blog would cease to be its online bulletin indefinitely. I would, however, try to resume updating the blog with Catholic articles and stories I come across on the Internet – hopefully on a weekly basis.

I pray you would share some of the articles that you may find interesting with your friends.

May you have a blessed Lent ahead, and I beg you for your prayers.

Yours sincerely in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Servus Domini

The Orphan Ride

The Leese Brothers: Andrew and Randall

On 3 April, 2009, American brothers Andrew and Randall Leese embarked on a round-the-world bicycle trip to raise money for the relief of Indian orphans. The Brothers invite you to experience their ride vicariously via their trip blog, and encourage you to do your part — by making a donation to the Orphan Ride Cause!

Kindly remember these two brothers in your daily prayers, as they continue to make their journey around the world in an effort to raise funds for the Servi Domini Orphanage in India.

If you would like to donate to their cause, you are most welcome to do so via their website, which has been added to the list of site links on the right. All proceeds go directly to the orphanage. The Leese Brothers are funding their trip entirely from their own pockets.

You may like to read more about their journeys on their travel blog, which can be found on the website and also the blogroll on the right.

Father Paul Egli, SSPX

Please remember the soul of Father Paul Egli, one of the oldest priests of the Society of St Pius X, who passed into eternity at approximately 10 a.m. yesterday, 16 April 2011. He had offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Priory of the Holy Family in Wil, Switzerland shortly before his death. At age 82, he had been faithfully serving in the Priesthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ for 54 years.

O Lord, we pray Thee that the soul of Thy Priest, Thy servant (Father) Paul (Egli), which, while he abode in this world, Thou didst adorn with sacred gifts, may ever rejoice in a glorious place in heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Apologies

Dearest readers, Servus Domini expresses his sincere apologies for the lack of updates on this blog. He has been rather occupied with other duties in life and will attempt to revive this online bulletin by early December.

Please remember to watch for this blog. And meanwhile, Servus Domini will keep you in his poor prayers, and beg you to remember him in yours.

Update: From now on, the articles that appear on this blog will be different from those in the weekly bulletin published at the Priory of St Pius X, Singapore.
